1. Introduction-Once the Taj Mahal was one of the seven wonders of the world Still it is one of the most beautiful buildings of the world.
2. Its history-One day with my uncle I wished to see the building. We saw the view of the Taj Mahal from the train at a distance. It looked grand and impressive.
We went on a rickshaw. We saw the gate of the building. It was very high and beautiful. It is made of red stone. It is called Buland Darwaja.
We now saw the Taj from there. It was a white building made of white marble. We went by paths made of marble slabs. Between these paths there were cisterns and fountains. Fish of all colours leaped about in them. There we saw lawns and trees on both the sides, with high walls and buildings at the end.
3. Main building-The Taj is built on a high terrace made of marble. We climbed a few steps and saw the big terrace in the centre of which stands the Taj. There are four high towers at the four comers. Now I saw the beauty of the Taj. I never thought of so. There are verses from Quran written in black mosaic at the three sides of the gate. It is really a great work of art. I was puzzled to see its greatness and glory.
4. Other things-Now we went in. There is a broad circular gallery all round the building. I astonished to see the filigree work and carvings in the marble. In the certre, there were two tombs of Shahjahan and his dear queen, Mumtaz Mahal. But I came to know that they were not the was real tombs. The real tombs were down stairs. We went there and found that they were exactly like the other tombs above. Verses of Quran were written on the tomb of the queen. The slab over emperor was bare. I wondered to see the mosaic work of art on all sides.
5. Brief history-It is said that thousands of labourers worked for twenty years to build grand monument of the love of Shahjahan for his queen. Crores of rupees were spent.
6. A great work of art-It is really a great work of art and India is proud of it. People come from all countries to see this wonder of wonders. Every part of the building is very attractive in a moon lit night. The jamuna flowing by adds to its charms.
7. Conclusion-The sight of the building has made a deep affect on us. It is really one of the seven wonders of the world.

1. परिचय- ताजमहल कभी दुनिया के सात अजूबों में से एक था, फिर भी यह दुनिया की सबसे खूबसूरत इमारतों में से एक है।
2. इसका इतिहास- एक दिन चाचा के साथ भवन देखने की इच्छा हुई। हमने ट्रेन से कुछ ही दूरी पर ताजमहल का नज़ारा देखा। यह भव्य और प्रभावशाली लग रहा था।
हम एक रिक्शा पर चले गए। हमने भवन का गेट देखा। यह बहुत ऊँचा और सुन्दर था। यह लाल पत्थर से बना है। इसे बुलंद दरवाजा कहा जाता है।
हमने अब वहां से ताज देखा। यह सफेद संगमरमर से बनी एक सफेद इमारत थी। हम संगमरमर के स्लैब से बने रास्तों से गए। इन रास्तों के बीच हौज और फव्वारे थे। उनमें तरह-तरह की मछलियाँ उछलती-कूदती थीं। वहां हमने दोनों तरफ लॉन और पेड़ देखे, जिसके अंत में ऊंची दीवारें और इमारतें थीं।
3. मुख्य भवन-ताज संगमरमर से बने ऊंचे चबूतरे पर बना है। हम कुछ सीढ़ियाँ चढ़े और देखा कि बीच में बड़ा चबूतरा है, जिसके बीच में ताज है। चार कोनों पर चार ऊँची मीनारें हैं। अब मैंने ताज की सुंदरता देखी। मैंने ऐसा कभी नहीं सोचा था। गेट के तीन ओर काले मोज़ेक में कुरान की आयतें लिखी हुई हैं। यह वास्तव में कला का एक महान कार्य है। मैं इसकी महानता और महिमा को देखकर चकित रह गया।
4. अन्य चीजें- अब हम अंदर गए। भवन के चारों ओर एक विस्तृत गोलाकार गैलरी है। संगमरमर में जड़ाऊ काम और नक्काशियों को देखकर मैं दंग रह गया। किले में शाहजहाँ और उसकी प्रिय रानी मुमताज महल की दो कब्रें थीं। लेकिन मुझे पता चला कि वे असली कब्रें नहीं थीं। असली कब्रें सीढ़ियों से नीचे थीं। हमने वहां जाकर देखा कि वे ठीक ऊपर की दूसरी कब्रों की तरह ही हैं। रानी की कब्र पर कुरान की आयतें लिखी हुई थीं। बादशाह के ऊपर की पटिया नंगी थी। हर तरफ पच्चीकारी कला देखकर मैं अचंभित रह गया।
5. संक्षिप्त इतिहास- कहा जाता है कि शाहजहाँ के अपनी रानी के प्रति प्रेम के भव्य स्मारक के निर्माण में हजारों मजदूरों ने बीस वर्षों तक कार्य किया। करोड़ रुपये खर्च किए गए।
6. कला का एक महान कार्य- यह वास्तव में कला का एक महान कार्य है और भारत को इस पर गर्व है। अजूबों के इस अजूबे को देखने के लिए सभी देशों से लोग आते हैं। चांदनी रात में इमारत का हर हिस्सा बेहद आकर्षक लगता है। पास से बहती जमुना इसकी शोभा और बढ़ा देती है।
7. निष्कर्ष- भवन की दृष्टि ने हम पर गहरा प्रभाव डाला है। यह वास्तव में दुनिया के सात अजूबों में से एक है।
