1. Name of the town-The town I live in is famous for one reason-it has been the home of the Prime Minister of India. Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru was brought up in Allahabad, Sri Lal Bahadur Shastri had a house at Allahabad and Smt. Indira Gandhi was born here. Anand Bhawan, donated to the nation by the Prime Minister, is now a place of historical importance.
2. Location-Allahabad is situated near the Sangam, the place where the two rivers the Ganga and the Yamuna, meet. Thousands of visitors and pilgrims come to Allahabad just to have dip in the Sangam.
3. Around the Town-It is a calm and quiet city, because there are not many industries around. Naini, a supurb of Allahabad, however, is now developing fast industrially. There is the big Agriculture Institute, the Indian Telephone Industries and the factory of Universal Tyres. A Glass Factory is also going to be built there shortly. Allahabad proper has the Geep Flash Light Factory which makes batteries.
4. Its Importance-There are a few spots in Allahabad which have scenic beauty. There, are the old but majestic stone buildings of the High Court and the offices of the various departments. There are other attractions for visitors too.
Allahabad is famous as a seat of learning. The main office of the Board of High School and Intermediate Education is situated in Allahabad. The headquarter of the Education Department of Uttar Pradesh is located. We are proud of our town.

1. कस्बे का नाम - मैं जिस कस्बे में रहता हूँ वह एक कारण से प्रसिद्ध है - यह भारत के प्रधान मंत्री का घर रहा है। पं. जवाहर लाल नेहरू का पालन-पोषण इलाहाबाद में हुआ, श्री लाल बहादुर शास्त्री का इलाहाबाद में और श्रीमती का घर था। इंदिरा गांधी का जन्म यहीं हुआ था। प्रधानमंत्री द्वारा राष्ट्र को दान किया गया आनंद भवन अब ऐतिहासिक महत्व का स्थान है।
2. स्थान- इलाहाबाद संगम के पास स्थित है, जहाँ गंगा और यमुना दो नदियाँ मिलती हैं। संगम में डुबकी लगाने के लिए हजारों की संख्या में पर्यटक और तीर्थयात्री इलाहाबाद आते हैं।
3. कस्बे के आसपास - यह एक शांत और शांत शहर है, क्योंकि आसपास बहुत से उद्योग नहीं हैं। हालांकि, इलाहाबाद का एक उपनगर नैनी, अब औद्योगिक रूप से तेजी से विकसित हो रहा है। यहां बड़ा कृषि संस्थान, भारतीय टेलीफोन उद्योग और यूनिवर्सल टायर्स का कारखाना है। शीघ्र ही वहां एक ग्लास फैक्ट्री भी बनने जा रही है। इलाहाबाद में ही जीप फ्लैश लाइट फैक्ट्री है जो बैटरी बनाती है।
4. इसका महत्व- इलाहाबाद में कुछ स्थान ऐसे हैं जो प्राकृतिक सौंदर्य से भरपूर हैं। वहां, उच्च न्यायालय की पुरानी लेकिन राजसी पत्थर की इमारतें और विभिन्न विभागों के कार्यालय हैं। आगंतुकों के लिए अन्य आकर्षण भी हैं।
इलाहाबाद विद्यापीठ के रूप में प्रसिद्ध है। हाई स्कूल और इंटरमीडिएट शिक्षा बोर्ड का मुख्य कार्यालय इलाहाबाद में स्थित है। उत्तर प्रदेश के शिक्षा विभाग का मुख्यालय स्थित है। हमें अपने कस्बे पर गर्व है।
