1. Introduction-The Ganga is a holy river. In the month of Kartik, Ganga fairs are held at many places. Varanasi is one of them. Once I had a chance to go to this fair with my friends.
2. Scene at the ghats-We went to the fair by the train take. We went directly to the ghat, where our friends were waiting for us. We went to take bathe in the Ganga. There was a very big crowd on the ghats. Police constables and volunteers were on duty. Boats were moving in the river. After bathing we came back to a hotel.
3. Description of the fair-In the evening, we went to the fair. There were two lines of shops.. They were well-decorated. We made some purchases in the market. When night befell, there was light everywhere. It looked very beautiful, we felt hungry. So we took sweets and tea. Then we went to see the circus. We came back to hotel at 12 O' clock in the night.

4. Conclusion-Fairs are very useful. There we meet many of our friends and relatives. We see many new things. We also learn some new things. We forget our sorrows. We enjoy them much.

1. परिचय- गंगा एक पवित्र नदी है। कार्तिक मास में अनेक स्थानों पर गंगा मेले लगते हैं। वाराणसी उनमें से एक है। एक बार मुझे अपने दोस्तों के साथ इस मेले में जाने का मौका मिला था।
2. घाटों का दृश्य-हम ट्रेन से मेले में गए। हम सीधे घाट पर गए, जहां हमारे दोस्त हमारा इंतजार कर रहे थे। हम गंगा स्नान करने गए। घाटों पर खासी भीड़ रही। पुलिस कांस्टेबल और स्वयंसेवक ड्यूटी पर थे। नदी में नावें चल रही थीं। नहाने के बाद हम वापस एक होटल में आ गए।
3. मेले का वर्णन- शाम को हम मेले में गए। दुकानों की दो कतारें थीं.. खूब सजी हुई थीं। हमने बाजार में कुछ खरीदारी की। रात हुई तो हर तरफ उजाला था। बहुत सुंदर लग रही थी, हमें भूख लगी। तो हमने मिठाई और चाय ली। फिर हम सर्कस देखने गए। हम रात के 12 बजे वापस होटल आ गए।
4. निष्कर्ष- मेले बहुत उपयोगी होते हैं। वहां हम अपने कई दोस्तों और रिश्तेदारों से मिलते हैं। हम बहुत सी नई चीजें देखते हैं। हम कुछ नई चीजें भी सीखते हैं। हम अपने दुखों को भूल जाते हैं। हम उनका भरपूर आनंद लेते हैं।
